How to use the 3D Extrude tool in Prametric Mode of 3D Modeling Module?
You can call the 3D Extrude tool in the Parametric Mode
Draw any diagram in the 2D Mode. Like a rectangle, useing Add Sketch.
Call 3D Extrude.
You have to select a profile selected New body option and enter a Distance value (say 100) and the Direction (in +y direction).
Now click Ok to create a rectangular solid with height 100.
Now select the top of this rectangle as a new plane to draw another sketch.
We have drawn a circle overlapping the top plane of the rectangle.
Now let us call the 3D Extrude tool again.
Now select the Circle as the Profile select the Rectangle as the TgSolid (Terget solid), Let the distance remain 100, but the direction in -y, select the Join option and click Ok.
The Circle and the Rectangle joined to generate a new 3D Solid.
If you want to cut instead of Join select the Cut option.
The portion of the Circle will be cut out from the Rectangle.
And if you want the intersected portion between the Rectangular solid and the Cylinder drawn from the circle select the Intersect option.
The new solid with the intersection portion will be created.
